Welcome to the 5th. oldest house in Auckland built in 1847. Renovations and restoration has been sensitive to the age, and historic character of the property, providing a maximum of modern day comforts within the envelope constraints. The house is a historic property, very protected and has features that are characteristic of a grand private residence.
A "Home away from Home", with all the convenient features, ideal for groups or families that want to travel or holiday together: Cotter House offers the option of Luxury Villa rentals with an emphasis on total privacy and seclusion, either on a Self catered or on a Fully catered silver service basis.
Cotter House operates normally as a eco-chic (Enviro Gold) heritage boutique retreat offering casual accommodation but is also available as an exclusive private Luxury Villa rental with a choice of 2 plans: Self catered and Fully catered silver service.
This option allows you to book the whole house and its beautiful gardens. There are three reception rooms (including a huge ballroom) plus luxury accommodation for up to 8-10 people.
Two suites of 2 room (Bronze suite with Empire room and Burgundy Suite) and a Queen (Oriental room) and a king rooms (the Blue Provencale with twin bed options).
- This is the only option that Includes the Burgundy Suite. This suite of 2 rooms with a sofa bed that can sleep an additional couple, is exclusively part of the Private Villa rental packages. It is separate and can be used as additional accommodation or specifically as Nanny quarters, or for Security personnel.
The bedrooms/suites are all elegantly furnished and decorated and have their own luxury marble bathrooms. Every care has been taken to provide our guests with the comforts of home. The rooms offer all modern conveniences and are equipped with the latest technology: free WI-Fi, Digital /Satellite HDTVs with all channels, dedicated laptops (choice of latest PC or Mac iBook) iPod docks, DVD and CD players and direct dial telephones

Luxury self catered vacation rental in total privacy and seclusion.
Cotter House operates as an intimate Art hotel and Private Retreat offering casual B&B accommodation with and without dinners. However it also offers the convenience of a Self catered Private Vacation holiday for 4 couples and a single or a family of 8-10 people.
FILM LOCATION: It can also be booked as a Historic film location on a short term rental basis, with SPECIAL deals during the low season, May to Oct .
