Boutique Hotel - Romantic Hideaway and Luxury holiday Getaways
Boutique Cotter House is a charmingly-hosted romantic hideaway and lavish lifestyle retreat that offers epicurean accommodation to suit all needs.
We offer three levels of convenience or rental options:
- Standard retreat = B&B only - hosted accommodation with breakfast
- Deluxe Retreat = Dinner B&B - hosted accommodation with sumptuous deluxe dinners
- Luxury holiday villa rentals = For 3-4 couples, we block the entire house as a totally discrete boutique hotel or private rental, ideal as a getaway for families, or for a
corporate event/function - either self contained or fully serviced, with elite concierge services and personal staff.
The grand salons, two intimately romantic guest rooms and two gorgeous suites, are layered with rare objets-d’art, exquisite collectible items, decorative majestic mirrors and a collection of original paintings collected during different embassy postings in South America.
A couples' Resort, the suites, sensually presented for romantic getaways, feature large inviting beds piled with pillows, bolsters and cushions, looming armoires and exotic antique furniture. En-suites gleam with marble and are stocked with quality toiletries. Tall windows let in abundant natural light. Fresh flowers and chocolates are generously replenished. Free wi-fi coverage is available throughout the house and all guestrooms have cable television. Laptops and iPod docking stations are provided.
CONTEMPORARY COMFORTS
All rooms are equipped with latest technology: complimentary WI-Fi, Digital / Satellite TV with all channels, dedicated laptops (choice of latest PC or Mac iBook) iPod docks, DVD and CD players.
1. Standard & Deluxe Retreat plans for 6-7 people
This option allows small groups to fully experience the exquisite setting and rich atmosphere of Cotter House for one or several days, with a selection of rooms to choose from. Please discuss any needs with us. We welcome families with children; families; small corporate groups or several couples.
Standard Retreat Bed & Breakfast plan:
A host manager remains on site. Outstanding breakfasts catered for, housekeeping provided, scrumptious meals provided on request . Laundry services on request. Chef on call. Scheduled exercise classes provided with a private trainer offered, on request.
Deluxe Retreat Dinner Bed & Breakfast:
A host manager remains on site. Divine breakfast, Afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails and memorable four-course dinner included. Lunch not included. Housekeeping staff and Chef as required. Beverages included except for vintage wines. Laundry services on request. Guest entertaining catered for (numbers in the house included - extra people additional). Transfers can be arranged with our preferred transfer providers: Select Tours, Regal Rides or Corporate Cabs.
2. Private VILLA RENTAL Plans - 8-9 people
Ideal holiday rental as a self contained private villa or as a fully serviced villa holiday rental.
This option allows groups to book the whole house and its beautiful gardens. This includes three of the finest reception rooms in New Zealand; plus luxury accommodation for up to nine people. Two double rooms, one single room and a king room with a twin option. The charming Burgundy Suite is part of the Private Villa rental packages and can be used as Nanny quarters, or for Security personnel.

Our check-in time is 3pm because we allow for late check-outs: 12pm to 1pm.
Entertaining at Cotter House
We also offer a special option for any entertainment needs, the exclusive use of the expansive Ballroom, the designer kitchen and the marble terrace.
